I saw someone on reddit recently posted a picture of a bench in a school with two Powermac G5 towers as the base. I needed some more storage space for my Macs, and had two non-working G5s, and some woodworking tools. I really liked the idea to route the edges of the wood to fit in the curves of the metal legs of the G5.
So, for anyone wondering, the curve seems to best match a 1" radius round-over router bit. The 1.25" bit wasn't quite right, and the 1" ended up working very close to the actual metal. I used cedar because I thought it would be easy to use such a large bit with and I like the rustic look when finished.
