I have a Quadra 610 that for whatever reason is stuck at 832 x 624 resolution when using a DB19 to VGA adaptor.

I have wiped the PRAM, and tried different VGA adapters… but even when set to 640 x 480, I still, from power on, and stuck at this higher resolution.

Any thoughts on what might be wrong?

Resolution is set when the three “sense pins” are shorted to ground. This is what those adapters with the dip switches are doing. Maybe there’s a short in your DB15 connector or in the board that’s forcing it to 832x624 mode?
