Now on to the enclosure and frame. You can see from the photos below the rust was quite bad. I used wire brushes on a drill and sand paper to get most of the rust off and sprayed all affected areas with rust-converting spray paint, leaving key areas uncoated to maintain ground. The CD ROM bezel tab broke, so I repaired that with some two-part plastic bonding super glue. All that's left is to replace the rusty and broken CD-ROM, retrobright the front bezel and install new RAM sockets some time in the future. For now this one is mostly sorted!
