Que Drive for iMac G3

I'm looking at picking up an iMac G3 that is advertised as having an external CD-RW drive. I know of this brand of drives, but this particular model seems to have an IDE connector instead of USB or FireWire. The seller doesn't have any cables, so I'm wondering how I can power this drive and connect it to the iMac, and if it will even work.

Has anyone ever seen or used one of these?

A generic USB-IDE adapter will probably work, but you'll be stuck at horrible USB1.1 speeds. A better bet would be to commandeer a firewire to IDE board from another external drive. I'd bet that most boards from a dead external hard drive would also work with a CD burner.

I have one of these Que! Fire drives, the back section contains the USB and/or Firewire adapter board. For some reason this drive is just... missing it?

Yes, the non-working one I have also has a USB/FW interface. I think someone looted the OP's unit for parts.
