Quicktake 150 on MacOS8?

Hello!

I got my QuickTake 150 working well on my IIci but wow, is it slow at doing any image manipulation. I wanted to move my setup to my 9600 with MacOS 8.6 but @Mac84 on his live stream last night said "good luck on anything newer than 8"

Does anyone have their QuickTake running on 8 or above? Any tips?

I did find this post https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/quicktake-150-and-os-9.1831972/ - and will try to replicate it, though I'll need to backup the current system first.

I can confirm that the method described in that post works fine in 8.6! I've also added it to archive.org's wayback incase sokmeone comes here in 10 years wondering the same thing.

Witchcraft!

I had a Power Macintosh 6100 that I had System 7.6.1 and Mac OS 8 on. I installed the same Apple PhotoFlash software package on both operating systems, but I got nonsensical errors on Mac OS 8.

Unless you are using a different piece of software? I'd love to know!

Just moving QuickTime PowerPlug extesion out,, installing, restart, remove the old version, copy the backed up version back in, restart, gtg!
