Wondering if anyone has any experience with this because I'm hitting a brick wall. Not sure if this Radeon 7000 is retail or not, but it does have the DVI and S-Video ports on board (and I used to have one that was JUST VGA).
I'm trying to get 7.6.1 working on my 9600/300, and the one thing I'm hitting a huge snag on is getting the Radeon 7000 working. It has 7.x drivers from here. The drivers install fine, but whenever they try to load in at boot, the system just bombs with "Code fragment could not be prepared".
At which point the only way I can get the system to boot is if I disable the ATI extensions entirely.
I do have QT5 installed, which was mentioned as being needed for 3D acceleration, but that's about the only thing I can think that I was doing wrong. If anyone has any experience with this, any assistance would be appreciated. Would love to have this machine working perfectly in 7.6.1.
