Hello Community,
I am looking for someone, preferably in Belgium, who is able and willing to replace the 8 Surface Mount Capacitors on the mother board and also give it a thorough cleaning, ultra-sonic or otherwise, in order to remove the debris from the old ones.
If I have all data correct it concerns the following types of capacitors :
- 7 capacitors with a value of 47µF / 16V;
- 1 smaller capacitor with a value of 1µF / 50V.
Apart from that the machine is still in great shape, so the replacement should hopefully bring back the failing sound. It is still there, but almost inaudible, which is a well known issue for Mac's from the 1990's.
Looking forward to a postive reply from fellow Macintosh enthousiasts.
If you require any more details please ask.
BR, Tom.
