Hi,

Based on previous posts, I decided to replace my Mac SE with a Mac SE/30.
I'd like to reset my Mac SE with a working HD which I took from the Mac SE/30 since I use BlueSCSI SD for the SE/30.

When I boot with the HD on the SE or SE/30, I get a debugger starting message followed by the debugger program showing System error #99 at 0001162A : No procedure name.
I managed to boot with the BlueSCSI and I can access the 40MB drive. I'd like to format and reinstall a clean OS onto it. Should I just use a formatting software to reset the HD and install the OS having booted from the BlueSCSI SD, or do I need to restart after the formatting and only put a CD image on the BlueSCSI SD to mount alongside the HD as the main SCSI 0 ?
Or is there a tool to fix the hard drive since it seems to be running ok, except from this system error ?

I decided to reformat the internal 40MB HD using Lido 7.
After struggling looking for clone solutions, I found a simple solution by coping the system files from a mounted image using the BlueSCSI to the internal HD. Definitely not possible with Ms Windows, so I didn't think it would work.

Yep! for Macintosh computers you can just copy files - the only potential is to miss the desktop folder as it's hidden.

I'd advise against using LIDO - they have their own drivers which are 100% incompatible with the Mac Pus and does cause other oddities when used at the same time as drives with apple drivers. It's easly enough to open Drive Setup or Apple HD SC Setup and click update driver though (or Disk Jockey can do it for you if you on a BlueSCSI image file)
