A few months ago, I saw this video from Adrian's Digital Basement, where he added HDMI output to his Mac Classic 1:

It's something I'd like to do - both for the immediate payoff of the geek factor, but also to future proof my Mac Plus (computer I kept from my childhood) should its CRT ever one day fail.

After perusing the project's github (this is the original) and also Ian's fork (mentioned by Adrian) I'm not 100% certain which board I should order. I know from the video I have to order a board that deals with RGB and decide to pass the 1-bit video signal through one of them (usually green is picked) but that's about it. I really could use picking the brain of someone who's done it already and recently.

Ian's fork is the one I used (and is the same one he uses in the video)

I will say I didn't have any luck with the preset Adrian has made and ended up having to recreate it, I was testing this with a Plus board but my understanding is the video signal on all the compacts are pretty much the same. The really odd thing is my preset is pretty much exactly them same as Adrains so I'm not sure why I couldn't get his to work.....

Adrian's preset is for the Macintosh Classic, which seemingly uses a different signal schema. I have a preset which I've created for the Macintosh Plus (it also works on the 128k and 512k). I haven't tested this on the SE or SE/30 yet.

Save the attachment to /Saved_Profiles/6-12_BIT_RGB/ on your RGBtoHDMI SD card. If you don't get a perfectly crisp, perfectly aligned image from HDMI then there may be issues with your wiring or logic board.

This is my setup:
