I have a SCSI2SD 5.1 in my SE/30 and want to swap it out with a BlueSCSI. Couple of issues/questions/notes.

1. Is there a way to take an image of the partitions created for the SCSI2SD and "convert" them to an hda images usable on RaSCSI/BlueSCSI?
2. I am running the ROMinator II on my SE/30 and found I had to use the System file patching mentioned on the BMOW site to get it 7.5.5 booting on the RaSCSI and will most likely need to get it working on the BlueSCSI (about to test that).
3. I am using a RPi 3B+ for the RaSCSI but have not been able to find a 3D printable case to suit. Does anyone know of one?

ATM I have created a few images on the RaSCSI and installed and patched 7.5.5 as well as transferred a bunch of Apps and Data from the SCSI2SD drives to the RaSCSI. I have then downloaded the images from the RaSCSI and am placing them on the BlueSCSI. will install the BlueSCSI tonight and see if it all works.

I am using a modified case from @PotatoFi for my RaSCSI which is also running a 3B+. If I recall, I had to make some adjustments to fit as it was designed for the Pi 4. Great case though.

I managed to swap the SCSI2SD out for a blueSCSI. Changed the original orange LED which you could barely see with a nice bright blue on. Works a treat. And yes, when running an SE/30 with the ROMinator II you do need the patched System file for the BlueSCSI disk to boot.

All in all it was a bit of a tedious process especially after a few self inflicted screw-ups.

You should be able to `dd` the drives from the scsi2sd to a file and load it up as an image in ra/bluescsi just fine. As long as the map/driver/hfs partitions are all there (which they should be) it will work. Would be something like `dd if=/dev/disk2 of=myimage.hda bs=1M` - Some more details can be found here https://www.savagetaylor.com/2018/0...ntosh-creating-your-own-boot-able-disk-image/

I did try with basilisk but it kept crashing at boot time. Plus Montereys diskutl showed the second disk partition as free space so dd couldn't see the anything to dump.

Could be the ROM I am using (Color Classic) or the patching required for ROMinator. Haven't gone too far with testing.

I think we should make that appeal to @PotatoFi to share a Pi3 version, especially given the availability challenges, many of us might be repurposing our older models for this (which works great of course)
I'm planning to do a version 2.0 of the RaSCSI Case very soon, which will feature both Raspberry Pi 2/3 and 4 versions. I understand that this is especially important, considering how hard it is to get a Raspberry Pi right now. I'll try to prioritize this and get it done soon.

Hey there PotatoFi,

Have you been able to find the time to make the 2.0 version? I have a 3b+ and am having a hard time finding a case.

Thanks!

Thanks for the reminder! I have not managed to find time yet, but I am hoping to find some time to do this soon. I know exactly what I want to incorporate into the new design. My Fusion 360 license renewed yesterday, so financially I am committed!
