I’ve an issue with an SE30 I’ve been fixing for a few weeks now and I cannot crack it.
So this machine had zero signs of corrosion and no battery bomb which was great! Fully recapped and cleaned etc. it boots fine with the stock 2mb RAM (8 sticks making this up), or with 4 x 4mb sticks in Bank A. The issue arises whenever I try and put 4 x 16Mb Sticks in, and no matter the combination, I just cannot get it to see beyond whatever is in the other bank (4 x 4mb etc.). The machine will boot just fine but never see it in finder.
I have system 7.1 installed and a PurpleROM to allow it to see the larger sticks and 32 bit addressing enabled.
I’ve also tried 2 different supplies of 4 x 16mb sticks, same issue with any of them.
Anyone seen this before?
