SE30 Video Issues

Hello!

New here and joined in the hope someone has seen this SE30 odd video issue before!

The machine itself is in very good condition with literally zero signs of battery or cap corrosion. It's been fully recapped also.

The issue is that the right side of the display is literally missing around 8 rows of pixels vertically. This is most noticeable via the lack of top and bottom right side rounded corners where those pixels are missing.

The rest of the machine works perfectly as does its display. Here's the odd part, if you leave the machine running long enough (10-15 mins), those right side missing pixels start flashing back to life! As in, the missing vertical row(s) start to fill with horizontal while lines (flashing), till they're all back again.

Anyone seen this before?

Some more detail too. I have the board out of the machine connected via a long ATX connector and with the board sitting flat on a box the flickering lines over a long enough time almost fill in the missing rows. If I then stand the board on its side, within a minute it’s almost back to fully black on those missing rows with only the odd flicker!!

i will add that all of UA8 to UG8 have been replaced with brand new chips from mouser as I had a black screen before I replaced those.

Edit: update!! If I even just touch a metal tool to pin 13 of UG8 while the machine is running, the issue goes away!! The second I take the tool off that pin, it comes back. I ran a bodge wire between it and Pin 5 on UG7 which is where it goes, and it didn’t help. Somehow me added myself as a ground to pin 13 fixes the issue!

Edit 2: I MAY have found the issue...I used "HCT" chips for UG8 ad UE8 which I think may be running too quickly and me adding myself/a metal tool to those pins is slowing them down a little with resistance?
