While not a "community member" in terms of being into the retro scene, Stewart Cheifet contributed to our hobby in a very significant way. Cheifet is familiar to anyone who has ever watched the Computer Chronicles:
The series aired on PBS (in the USA) from 1984 to 2002, and 460 episodes were with Cheifet as host.
(Gary Kildall co-hosted the series from 1984 to 1990, appearing in 178 episodes, passing away in 1994. Gary is best known for having created the CP/M operating system.)
Stewart Cheifet passed on December 28th, 2025 at the age of 87.
