Hello dear community. My first post here.

As per the title, I'm seeking to revive a couple of iPads. One is a Wi-Fi iPad2,1 - k93ap running iOS 9.3.5 I found in e-waste about 5 years ago and quite unremarkably, it's iCloud Locked. The other one is an iPad 3 cellular model running iOS 6.1 (jailbroken) that belonged to my mother, was handed down to me, but due to some very bad life encounters had to be remotely locked via Find My, and because of the nature of the events I can't for the life of me remember the passcode I set to lock it. The iPad has unfortunately lost ability to connect to Wi-Fi, because at some point the battery got discharged to the point where the system clock was reset and ever since it would not connect. Additionally, I think the last time I used the iPad (before locking it) I am quite sure I disabled ssh due to security concerns, but it is definitely installed and the default password has been changed.

Here are the methods I tried:
For the iPad 2 - Sliver FactoryActivation + dependencies.sh install (without arduino) on 3 Macs. The first was a Mac Pro 2010 running Catalina, second, a MacBook Air 2012 running cleanly installed Mojave, the third, an M1 MacBook Pro running Sequoia. Two of the former fail with errors during the dependecies.sh installation, hence, the activation process does not work. The ladder does not fail during the dependency installation, but still can't activate the iPad.

The situation with the Arduino method is much worse. I have an Arduino Uno with USB host shield, both of which are the OG models "Made in Italy". One connects to the Catalina Mac, is recognised by IDE, but fails to upload the checkm8 exploit. On other Macs, no matter what I try, the Arduino just won't connect to IDE, even though it's recognised by the Mac itself.

For the iPad 3 - honestly I didn't try much as there are no go-to tutorials for Find My passcode locked iPads on 6.1. Reddit people say it's extremely simple to bypass, but no one dares to mention the exact steps. I gathered it was about deleting setupp.app, but I also did not find a tutorial for iOS 6.1, only iOS 5, so the redditors just might have been wrong. One thing they mention though, is that iOS 6.1 on this iPad is rare and that I should not upgrade under any circumstances. No other guidance was given, so I just kept the thing the way it is.

At this point I feel quite stupid, as it originally seemed a moderately difficult task, but I keep hitting roadblocks I can't overcome and have become quite desperate for help. Unfortunately for me, the topic is a taboo due to appearing illegal to many, especially the redditors, so getting good guidance is difficult just on this basis.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
