I added a telnet bbs style site almost working which would be the minimum (just the raw text) which should be pretty fast, and it pages so you only get 24x80 max bytes at a time. telnet tinkerdifferent-test.scsi.blue 6502
Ooooh - I'm gonna have to make that accessible from CQ II BBS!

I might try adding login to the telnet option - though not sure how I'd handle the session yet. I'd need to keep the cookie for the duration of the telnet session i suppose. Will think on it.

If you could then post too, that would be pretty amazing. It would also be nice to have a prompt at the bottom of the screen to see what you're typing.

Added the link to CQ II BBS - you even got the Marquee at the bottom of the main menu!

How versatile is your parser? Could it be used to parse, say, google news? 68k.news is broken now. Its the one thing classic doesn't yet seem to have: A usable news aggregator. I know, OT, but its worth thinking about if you enjoy building these sorts of tools. Since you seem to have figured out how to simul-post to Gopher, that would really be something too. All of the Gopher news aggregators are dead except for hackernews and such.

My scope is just TinkerDifferent - if you're looking for a more general retro proxy @rdmark has https://github.com/rdmark/macproxy_classic which is very versatile - and could likely support gopher as there's a python gopher lib.

@Byte Knight Odd - when i try with cqbbs to browse any char i type is not echoed back (it is if i just use telnet directly) and i cant do anything, no new lines or anything seems to be sent.

Ok, that's weird - when I use Zoc8 terminal program there's no echo but it accepts input and I can read the forums, but with MuffinTerm or IcyTerm nothing works...
