I'll be there on Saturday. Probably won't be bringing anything to show off, but will be checking out the swap meet area. Have some parts to purge, and am hoping to find a properly working mid-2012 A1286.

I believe the founder of our local Treasure Valley (Boise area) Vintage Computing Club is going to be there. Don't know if he is a member here.

I didn’t take a many photos today, but here’s a handful of things I enjoyed.

I'd love to make it out there next year! I won't have anything to bring, most likely, but it'll be a good time stop in to see family over in Olympia.

I believe it was an HDMI adapter/upscaler.

They built a video out adapter? Outbound never marketed an adapter for that port. Any idea if the fellow was selling those somewhere? I might have an Outbound Model 125 or two kicking around here...

I have the design/source up here. I haven't been selling any yet but I suppose I always could.

That is very cool. I wouldn't have any trouble reproducing the hardware, but at a casual glance I can't figure out what to do with the various software listings. How to compile? Where to load?

I'm not in any danger of trying to make one any time soon. My bench is backed up indefinitely. But I think it is so very cool that you did the work to make a usable video output for the Outbound. I suppose I should be excited about the POrtable too, but I have never had one of those. :)

Have you done any work on the SCSI adapter or the floppy interface board?

There are pre-built files in the Releases section, and GitHub Actions should be setup to build automatically, but if you wanted to build locally you would need to:
  1. Download the repo (along with the submodules to ensure picodvi is included).
  2. Have cmake installed (probably some other dependencies I'm forgetting).
  3. Have the Pico SDK downloaded and PICO_SDK_PATH set.
  4. Run cmake -S . -B debug to generate cmake files.
  5. Run cmake --build debug to build the project.
  6. Get the built .uf2 file from the debug folder.
It is slightly easier if you use things like VSCode or CLion to build, but the process is mostly the same in the background.
