Today I got most of my work done for the table - just a few minor things left to pack.

Everything is packed and staged in the garage for loading the car on Thursday night. Drive down Friday morning to arrive around noon!

Yeah, I'm interested in seeing how it ends up! I'm sure it will feature in many a video / photo from the event.

They had a smaller version of a similar display set up at VCF East a few months ago. It was a photobooth that let people recreate the top photo:

Come to RetroFest in Swindon next June. It's not the size of a modern-day VCF, and it lacks talks (which I regret), but it's a bunch of folks showing their retro machines and projects. Has been going for several years. I'm guessing it's a lot like what VCF was like in years past.

What/where is mistuwa?

Mitsuwa is an asian market/food court that's 10 minutes away from the convention center. Known for its food, tiny appliances and manga/trinkets.

I dropped a turntable of sorts on my foot. The impact was a quarter inch thick and the thing weighed roughly 10lbs dropped from hip height, so it was exciting.

Anyone got any pictures of cool stuff they saw? Anything to report? I'll live vicariously through others. :'D
