This episode has been out for about a year, I'm a bit late on this, but was watching Black Mirror on Netflix Season 7 Episode 6, the last episode of the season, called: USS Callister Into Infinity - and a Macintosh Classic was featured prominently. Was surprised to see it, wondered if anyone else saw it and got excited too :D

If there is already a dedicated thread to Compact Macs in TV & Movies, let me know and I'll add this there. I did search but didn't find anything.

There is a deliciously old school website dedicated to computer appearances in movies: Starring the Computer. They seem to have missed this episode of Black Mirror!

I recently rewatched the (very much NSFW) 1992 movie Single White Female and was surprised to see a few Macintoshes (that were pretty much top of the line when the movie was made). There’s even a strange looking laptop running Mac OS that I didn’t recognize: an Outbound Laptop, a portable Mac clone!

But I know one Mac that has more time in the limelight than any other, the iMac G3, in all it's forms. It's even in Ralph Breaks The Internet

Seinfeld!
Had many on his desk through the years. Macintosh SE. a PowerBook Duo. An Se/30. Maybe a classic but I forget. Then he did get the TAM towards the end.

Apple had a big presence in the movies in the 90s. I recall reading it was part of their marketing strategy. It didn’t keep them from nearly going under but it did get them staring roles in movies. Often coupled with Apple ads that used the movies
Mission impossible
Independence Day (the ad said The Power to save the World)
Oh that movie THE NET
NAtional Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (a Mac Plus in his living room)

im too old to remember others right now.
