XServe and Xraid aquired

I needed another computer as much as I needed another hole in my head... but what else is new, right?

So I got a 2006 Xserve 2x3GHz and an Xraid with 14 500GB disks in it. Taking delivery of it in May, a friend of mine in a different part of the country picked it up for me. Pictures will follow shortly thereafter. I'm kind if excited!

Ohh neat. What are you planning on doing with it?

Uh.... dunno, really... Retire my server G5 maybe? Been thinking about running it as a file and backup server. I'd like to set up a webserver as well so I might experiment a bit. Hm... I wonder if I could set up Pi-hole on it through virtualization or just straight up.. I have to research the possibilities. And maybe get some nodes that I don't need, too.
