Hello,
my ZIP 100 drive almost never ejects the disc. If I help pulling the disk slightly while ejecting, it will eject it... it's like it doesn't have strength to do it itself.
Is this a common problem?

Having taken one apart recently, there’s two springs for the eject mechanism: maybe they’re not that springy anymore?

See step 6 in this iFixit guide.

Maybe just taking apart the Zip drive for a good cleaning and lubricating will fix it? When it works well, a Zip drive ejects disks quite brutally!

Hello,
I disassembled it and cleaned it. I tried also to lubricate, but the mechanism seems quite simple and I didn't see clearly where could be friction.
I'll check the springs...
Txs!
