I'm currently planning to post Micromac's Carrera 040 on my SE/30. i Even if you change your ID with "I Wish" and start it freezes. It seems that you will probably need a dedicated SE/30 control panel document. However, Macintosh Garden has disappeared. I was able to download it from another site, but this time I'm having trouble unzipping it. Is there a site where I can download and use it?

I checked Macintosh Garden just now. It's working. I searched for WISH I WERE, and the page appears just fine here:

The Control Panel from Bolle is found on the Garden here, and I confirmed just now that the page displays just fine:

I do not own a Carrera040 and therefore cannot confirm anything about it. My post back in 2023 was simply made because my friend Kay Koba told me about the audio glitching and I was pleased to later learn it was resolved, and I wanted to share that info.

You have two choices to UNSTUFF SIT files:

1. https://theunarchiver.com
2. https://macintoshgarden.org/apps/stuffit-deluxe-1605-final-version

I personally use #2 above. In fact, I am the one who uploaded that to the Garden. Works well even on macOS Sequoia on Apple Silicon.

which I think is CDEV, but I don't know what to do with it.
Do you know how to convert it into a file that can be read by the SE30?

I can see a Daystar adapter peeking out below your Carrera040 there. Interesting to see it's running at all. The jailbar view is as far as you'll get. The patches SE/30 control panel is not going to do anything different as the bars you're seeing are caused by a hardware issue of the Carrera itself.

The only way to run the Carrera040 in an SE/30 is by using one of my ethernet/adapter combo cards.
No other adapter properly supports the Carrera040.

Where can I get the adapter board you mentioned?

That's very important info! Especially for folks like me who have the ARTMIX TS Adapter (and a Turbo040). I never bought Bolle's adapter because I have the TS Adapter and it works with my T040. But it is now 100% clear that you MUST buy Bolle's Adapter if you want to use the Carrera040. But when you buy Bolle's Adapter, you get Ethernet too, as a bonus! Have a look...

I registered yesterday so it will take a few days.
We also discovered that there is no online shop.
You should be able to find it even if you search the web.
I'll have to get Boll's adapter to avoid wasting my Carrera040 investment. It's a shame that the ArtMiX adapters available in Japan are not compatible.
