Hardware/software you have that no one talks about.

Oh my goodness, that looks darn near the same! Thank you for finally putting a mystery to bed, lol!

Hardware/software you have that no one talks about.

Ah, sorry, it does have some support ICs (two 6821s, a 4016, a 2716, and some TTL ICs), but not much else. Grabbed some pictures as well! Been meaning to take this thing apart to document and reproduce schematics for a while, but spare time is scant these days.

Hardware/software you have that no one talks about.

I've got a 6802 computer kit that I found at an estate sale years ago. I periodically google the only number on the two PCBs (MPU and KBD) to see if anyone else has ever come across them, but never to any success: ATS-6802-FE. The thing is actually assembled and works! I just can't find any...

    Weird Lisa CRT reverse pincushioning

That's... weird. And not normally how pin-cushioning should look. Poorly adjusted pin-cushioning should yield an image whose contents are warped proportionally to the pincushion (think: how light warping around a black hole looks). See this post over on arcadecontrols. This image looks like it's...

Radius Monochrome (Greyscale) Pivot Capacitor List

Small update, as I finally sat down to recap this thing. There are a couple of errors/missing caps on the list above that I've since either corrected or added; for reference, they are as follows: C109 was not 4.7uF - I misread. It is instead 47uF. C326 is a bipolar capacitor - I had originally...

Radius Monochrome (Greyscale) Pivot Capacitor List

Following in the footsteps of @Elemenoh, I have disassembled a monochrome/greyscale Radius Pivot (model 0361 - apparently identical to models 0276 and 0425) in order to recap it. Deflection and geometry are perfectly stable, but the image itself is trash. The symptoms are almost identical to the...

Mac OS 7.6 Apple-Internal Gold Master

So, during VCFSW back in June, I eventually stepped away from my table to have a look around and came across something that I'd never seen before. In a bin full of random junk and Mac software at a table off in another building, I found what appeared to be an Apple-branded CD-R with data on it...

    ProFile Drive Emulator for Lisa?

You're in luck - my friend and fellow Lisa nerd, Alex, has pretty much exactly what you're looking for. The Cameo/Aphid setup was fantastic, but the evaporation of PocketBeagles has made them hard to find. Alex's ProFile emulator uses an Arduino Mega 2560 and runs Tom Stepleton's "Selector"...

Texas Instruments discontinuing a lot of IC's

Well, fudge - thank you for the heads up!

    What's this ADB dongle?

Huh... Alcon. They're an optics company here in Fort Worth off of I-35W. What on earth is that thing, lol? Surely that couldn't have come from them, could it?

    M0110/A to Lisa Keyboard Adapter

For the adapter BOM, here is the Mouser project for the larger model above. When it comes to a much smaller and slightly more cost-reduced version, here's what I call "the gumstick": I sincerely try to avoid using SMD components, mostly to make sure anyone can assemble what I toss out there...

    M0110/A to Lisa Keyboard Adapter

Welp, this is it - the last major project on my plate to be completed before my wife and I have our first kid in about a month. Born - sorry for the pun - out of my refusal to spend (checks eBay)... a car payment on a second Lisa keyboard, I wanted to make something highly compact that could...

Reproducing the Lisa 2 Card Stack: The CPU Card

Okay! After getting some readme stuff written up, here be the Lisa hardware repo on my end. Alex's is here, and he's got all the other PCBs. I need to wrap up the RAM cards and get them posted, which I may try to do this weekend over the holiday. The RAM additions will include three separate...

Reproducing the Lisa 2 Card Stack: The CPU Card

Yep - Alex has my card at the moment and got a chance to bodge power and ground to U5A this weekend. It now boots into LOS successfully! LisaTest does report an issue with the error logic, apparently, but it's not enough to interfere with the system actually operating. Now that we've stomped...

Reproducing the Lisa 2 Card Stack: The CPU Card

You know what's generally a prudent and conscientious methodology for producing a fairly complicated four layer PCB the size of a dinner plate? MAKING SURE YOUR DAMNED ICs ARE POWERED. That... is an expensive mistake, lol. And possibly the reason why the PCB has been running into issues.
