Hi everyone, I wanted to share my feedback after scanning and processing over a dozen Normal 8 and Super 8 films (ranging from 1947 to the late 70s) using the Wolverine MovieMaker Pro with the hansom dev custom firmware. The results are absolutely amazing. The image stability easily matches or exceeds what I got with Kodak Reels. After mechanically adjusting my pressure plates, the frame alignment became rock-solid, and I haven't touched the hardware since. I'm also using full-formatted Lexar SD cards which run perfectly stable. To keep the File Allocation Table (FAT) clean and avoid fragmentation, I do not format the cards inside the Wolverine. Instead, I continually write files to the card and only delete the very last scanned film to free up fresh blocks, preventing fragmented write cycles. The color stability of the hansom firmware is a massive lifesaver compared to the automatic "color pumping" catastrophe of the Kodak Reels. For my older B&W films (1947-1963), I found that putting a "Saturation 0" color corrector in Vegas Pro BEFORE Neat Video yields even better, cleaner filtering results.
