Here's the before and after. Keep in mind-this is still early days and I still have a lot to learn. Affinity Photo is a powerful tool for the money, at $70, approximately. But there is a substantial learning curve. The M3 MacBook Pro has been a BIG help.

It's 4:35 AM. The masking missed some areas, so I spent almost 2 hours going in and cleaning up as best I could. Not easy, but art is not supposed to be easy.
Cool. I was chatting with a digital artist, and she was telling me ways such a tool could be useful, as in using the lasso tool. There would definitely be a bit more control in using such a tool. There is also the ability to be able to write in cursive and incorporate the results into a graphic.
