    Tunnel vision on PB170

They're a reputable seller, I've bought case parts for my 6100 from them before. If I can have a part number for the panel, I'll do some more digging.

Broken RAM socket on SE - replacement options?

@wottle yes, get a desoldering gun, remove them, clean the holes, and then use these: https://www.peconnectors.com/sockets-pga-cpu-and-memory/hws9229/ They're a direct fit.

Cube G4 450 running Adélie? Nah. OpenBSD maybe?

I guess its the same issue as the other *nix/BSD distro's - the driver for the Rage is far too old to really work with the newer kernels. I'd be tempted to see how it works with older versions of certain distro's - say, from around 2008 or so.

    Power Macintosh G4 - 733

I didn't replace the chips myself but @dosdude1 and @HrutkayMods have done similar before - just remove the old chips, install the new ones (in this case, iirc the cache chips might have also been replaced), then set the jumper resistors correctly. MO drives are usually plug and play, i have a...

Macintosh SE Won't Boot System 7

I'd actually say, check the serial side of things. We discovered a minor bug with the SE Reloaded when trying system 7, @max1zzz figured out we were missing grounds to the SCC chip. System 7 implemented a test for working serial, it seems.

    Power Macintosh G4 - 733

Well, i finally managed to get hold of the dual CPU heatsink, and i've managed to, with the help of @Zane Kaminski , purchased two Dual 800MHz CPU cards for a quicksilver. These have also been further modified with a pair of G4 7455's, and overclocked to 1.2GHz running cool as a cucumber. I have...

    2010 MacBook Pro 13" - Dead Backlight

The LVDS cable probably is fine, its more likely the LVDS connector on the logic board side of things. The backlight driver is an LP8550 - commonly available these days, and pretty easy to replace with even a basic hot air station - flood the chip with flux, heat it, remove it, clean the pads...

    2010 MacBook Pro 13" - Dead Backlight

Water damage won't be the display, it'll be the LVDS connector, or the backlight driver IC.
