This issue is now resolved. Turned out not to be the ROM. EGRET chip pin 15 trace that is the RESET was broken in the battery area. Was very hard to find and was I was checking each chip and each pin traces for continuity, I found this. Repairing this gave me the chime but bad memory sound...

I am hearing some talk that a LC II rom could work in a classic II. Can anyone here confirm or comment on this?

Yes so true. I sure it has to do with PSU as other has said. I don’t have a Quadra unit yet to see. I have Mac II, LC I and II, Performa 6200CD, I have a Centris 610 on way so not sure what that has.

I could be wrong. On the PSU I have it looks like this. The clip.

Clíp for the cables coming out out the power supply. If I recall, the Mac II has it on the Sony CR45 PSU.

On my plus I added the resistor for it to work. I have recapped the analog board but it’s the flyback had that bad smell of dryer or ozone after a few minutes on and I get no picture. I get the chime but screen black and no current comes out of the flyback. There is no discharge spark after it...

I solved the power issue by changing the opto chip. But now I have a tight vertical bars issue and this after a full recap of both boards. Anyone have ideas?

Kai or others. I have a classic II giving me tight format jail bars. Board is recapped and so is analog. Voltages are good. I have removed and cleaned below, pads and chips for 2 of the 4 memory, audio and edge. All areas prone to damage and all looked very good. Still have bars. Any suggestions...

Eric does the blueSCSI work with MacSnap scsi? I got a 512K unit today with this in it with the Plus ROMS as needed. Tried it but it would not boot up. All I got was the red light on the blue active. thanks

I just got a 512K with the MacSnap and SCSI adapter in it. It powers on and all and I see blueSCSI has power as the red light is on. It does not boot from it. I have not looked into this at all so putting it out there see what others know or can say.

Anyone have any more ideas on this? I am stuck on it.

The issue is solved by replacing Q101 and Q102 transistores. This after a full recap was also done.

Mine Classic II also. My error. I been reading up on this and find the same to replace the mosfet at QP2, the TDA4605 at IP1 and optocoupler ar QP1. I am not sure on which diodes to replace. I have read people change DP12, 2, 5, 7. Now I just need find these parts from used items I have here.
