Just a word of warning - I purchased a flyback from Dalbani a few years ago - while it looked new, all the internal windings were melted/shorted together. I never got a refund either.

That much of a jump is simply too much for the entire system, when you swap that oscillator, you're also overclocking the system bus and everything attached to it.

For reverse engineering PLD chips, might be worth speaking to Porchy at Jammaarcade, he hosts the PLD archives and helped me reverse the GLU on the SE Reloaded board.

The board would be easy enough (*cough*) to duplicate if it's a 4 layer, obviously it'd be destroyed in the process. Then it's a matter of reversing the GAL's. You wouldn't necessarily use like for like parts, like the EPROMs, you could replace with a single one. Also that board isn't likely...
