Custom USB-C powered 8"display for the Apple IIc with STL files and build plan

the top corner holes have an ID of 4.5mm my inserts have an OD of 5mm, but you can grind them down to 4.5 without too much issue and glue them in with super glue i think. (you can get a long M3 bolt, screw them on and then put it in a drill, you can then use sand paper or probably even a combo...

Custom USB-C powered 8"display for the Apple IIc with STL files and build plan

Really cool sir! do share the pictures, im curious how nice it will look in resin print! SLA could also be nice i think, but there is not much choice for colour. (would work well in black though) for the monitor it takes about 350mA at max brightness, so less then 1A, but more then 300mA...

I have made a very simple yet sturdy and well placed SD card slot holder for the LC475, i'd like to share it. It snaps in to a slot in the bottom and latches there, so no cutting or alteration to the case is required. if your case is biscuit-brittle, pre-heat the 3D printed plastic part with...

Custom USB-C powered 8"display for the Apple IIc with STL files and build plan

I'm willing to make the needed modifications to the existing design, if you can reach some consensus on what would be best, and provide that to me, then i can adjust the current design if needed. to power the computer from the single USB-C plug should not be an issue either.

Custom USB-C powered 8"display for the Apple IIc with STL files and build plan

wow, and for $35,- that's a steal! with HDMI i'd have to guide that cable through, maybe we can power the LCD from the USB-C power plug as well the power consumption is low anyways at just 4W. as always, plenty of room for improvement

Custom USB-C powered 8"display for the Apple IIc with STL files and build plan

the fit right now is quite tight actually, there is no extra space inside to place a larger display, it would require a re-design of the whole thing (not impossible, but a few hours work for sure) thanks for the link to the solutions to the scribe area on the LCD, this is indeed an issue...

Custom USB-C powered 8"display for the Apple IIc with STL files and build plan

Valid points, 1: I found it on Ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/267198515931, I'm based out of northern Thailand, on the Asian webshops they are readily available 2: Made in resin i doubt it will last very long, or will be stable in colour, resin tends to yellow really fast (1 year or so) so...

Custom USB-C powered 8"display for the Apple IIc with STL files and build plan

Resin would require a very large printer to make, not easy to find. but clear PETG would be an option for sure, and it would hide enough inside to make it look good

Hi there, Fellow Tinkerers, Recently i have spend some time to make a 3D printable display for the Apple IIc, and today is the day to share the design as all is finished, assembled, tested and so on. I am sharing the STL files so you can print the design yourself (or send it to a printing...
