Apparently was too buggy for Apple to introduce it with the IIsi, LC, and Classic machines. So, it's extremely rare. I haven't tried to run it on a machine yet. Need to make some floppies of it, then I'll try it out on either the SE or the IIci.

Chris, Got any zip drives lying around? That might be the best way to go, since it seems like your 190's floppy drive may need some work, hence the reason why the VST drive can't read floppies initialized on the 190 and vice versa. Wouldn't need to use the ethernet card.

If I remember correctly, most iMacs used the 3.5" SATA drives, so, you can run anything that a pre-2013 Mac Pro uses. Back in 2020, I bought a 1TB spinner for my 2008 Mac Pro for ~$35. Is the one item I still have from that computer. Will be going into the 2009 Mac Pro 4,1 I'm picking up next...

You can add a ROM SIMM slot, then use what I was recommending. The solder pads are there.

They work pretty well. Eject motor is a little louder than it normally would be, but, at ieast the disks eject properly again. Installed one in my Centris 650's floppy drive's eject motor assembly.
