I'm referring to the big cap on the power supply board you can see it through the clear case near the crt. you need to fully dissemble the iMac to get to it.

I'm working on the same imac atm just waiting for parts. The big 560 cap was shorted. I'll let you know what happens

Did you look at the big 560 microfarad cap for signs of bulging?

Has anyone reverse engineered these? What other macs is this chip in? is the ADB chip in LCII suitable?

Unfortunately no mouse on its own doesn't. I've tried other known working mouse and keyboard ADB still locked

@AmigaOfRochester I have an SE LB that will boot but the adb is not working, mouse pointer stuck in Lfet side top corner and the keyboard doesn't work. Would you be interested in having a go at it?
