So the 512K put up a bit of a fight...specifically the analog board. It was flupping upon arrival. Closer inspection showed signs of a previous RIFA explosion and previous attempts at repairs. The legs of the RIFA replacement weren't clipped, and one of them wasn't soldered to anything...

128k had a bath and is done for now...moving on to the 512k. I didn't have a cord for the keyboard, so I temporarily soldered one end of a phone cord to the keyboard PCB while I acquire the correct cable 🙃

Was that 6100 a 7100 before you set that monitor on it? :p

I'll have to give that a try...I have a bunch of that Remington dry lube. Only used small amounts of white lithium grease on floppy drives before. I also have Hornady One-Shot that I use to clean and lube my reloader. It dries to a slick, non-tacky finish too, so it might work well.

Got the MacEffects keyboard installed. For anyone wondering if it's compatible with the BMOW drive switcher, the answer is yes. If you have the drives swapped so the internal drive is drive 2, you just need to switch to slot 6 drive 2 in the keyboard software when reprogramming the keyboard...
