    Let's fix up these //c's!

Not sure mine was "broken", but I took it apart to retrobrite anyways, so I recapped it and gave it a once-over while I had it apart since I'd prefer to never take it apart again. It sounds dumb, but first thing to check would be the composite jacks on both the A2 and the monitor. They're often...

BlueSCSI - Open, Low Cost, DIY SCSI to SD device

I'm just curious if the attached image works for either of your Classics with a BlueSCSI connected internally. I had similar issues about a year ago with my Classic and it turned out to be the SCSI driver that was being used. I never tried connecting my BlueSCSI externally at the time though...

    Osborne anyone?

I recently got an Old Net WIFI modem and just got it working with one of the Executives using myterm. Most of the work was getting the downloaded myterm binary copied over serial to the Osborne (getting the serial port configured right, converting to hex, converting back to a binary on the...

    Osborne anyone?

I got an Osborne 1 awhile back that I just finished restoring. Here it is next to one of its Executive brethren right after I got it home. It mostly worked, though the B drive was hit-or-miss and it was just really filthy and yellowed. I also didn't want to run it too much before getting...

Apple II SCSI hard drive questions

So an official BlueSCSI 1.1 firmware was just released that includes @jokker 's changes to support this CMS card. I flashed it and was able to get my //e booting ProDOS off of a 32MB volume :) Then I set about trying to add termination power to the CMS card so the BlueSCSI wouldn't have to...

    RGBtoHDMI fun

Yes, there's a TTL buffer board in the middle. I didn't assemble my own board(s) like you did. I bought pre-assembled boards from Aaron at Retro Hack Shack. So I got the 12bpp RGBtoHDMI board, the TTL buffer board, and the analog board in case I ever want to play with that.

My little guide on RGBTOHDMI installed on Classic, Plus, etc.

This thread was a huge help getting my own RGBtoHDMI up and running...what to buy, finding a Pi Zero, printing a case...thanks!

    RGBtoHDMI fun

After finding external video adapters in both my Classic and SE, I've been wanting to build an RGBtoHDMI. Well, I finally got my hands on a Pi Zero and all the other parts, printed a case, and assembled one. @Mu0n 's stickied thread was a big help. My 030 Classic came to me with this...

    Let's fix up these //c's!

I installed the CP/M card and BMOW drive switcher and can now boot from an external floppy drive, including a FloppyEMU: I'm having trouble tracking down a compatible version of WordStar. I did use cpmtools to copy the binary of WordStar 3.3 I have for my Osborne Executive to a CP/AM...

    Let's fix up these //c's!

Monitor is recapped, retrobrighted, and working great: I initially had an issue with the external brightness knob being unreponsive (could still adjust the internal sub-brightness), but that quickly got sorted out with some help from people on Discord. Turns out the brightness potentiometer...

Applied Engineering TransWarp TW1340 - Information Wanted

I don't know anything about it other than someone on reddit recently found an AE TransWarp TW2340 accelerator in their Classic. Apparently they also made a 25Mhz version for the Classic without SIMM slots. Also, a link to possible drivers and some discussion of the TW1340 and that connector on...

    IIci restoration chances

That kind of corrosion and damage is common on that part of the board with all the leaky capacitors in that area. Mine was worse than that (I had to replace all 3 of those chips and another elsewhere on the board), and my IIci works great now. That was my first time finding broken traces and...

    Modern DIY arcade lightguns

That's funny...maybe give her some nickels so they fall through and you can keep using the same ones :ROFLMAO: I have the coin mechs connected on mine too, so inserting quarters still works, but I didn't want to *have* to insert quarters. I also didn't want to clutter the control panel with...

Well the monitor is apart. I won't say that was easy...very "compact" inside that thing:
