In a lot of Sun gear this year I got a 5 1/4" SCSI floppy drive. I've not seen one before. I can fathom how it would/could work in *nix, but anything else might be a crapshoot.

I've come into a clean PB G4 12" that doesn't boot. On powerup, I hear the HD start, and then I get fast system fans and nothing else. No chime, no activity on the screen. Doing PMU reset doesn't change anything with either battery in or battery out. It does seem to be charging the battery...

I don't think these particular adapters will work - the size and type of the NeXT battery is different than the 1/2 AA you get in Macs. Pretty sure it's this one. I'd have to go pull one of mine to double check, but I'm 99% sure this is it...
