BlueSCSI v2 Pico - Low cost, open hardware, fast SCSI device!

Hi Paolo, I tested all my BlueSCSI V2 with real Mac SE/30. So far, we have not had any problems with our products other than scratches during PCB manufacturing. The scratched BlueSCSI will not be shipped and will be in my possession forever... I'm also unfamiliar with what you're trying to do...

SMC SE Analog board and Neck board Resurrections

Thank you. Now I'm almost done repairing my Mac, so I have time to think about my own products. I often don't know if it's good or not so interesting... Idk if I'm another level or not, but thanks to all of you for making it fun😄

SMC SE Analog board and Neck board Resurrections

ahhhh, I don't have time for another project at the moment, so I'll contact you when I feel like doing it. As a matter of fact, I've repaired Classic analogs twice, so I know the structure very well. Thank you @Genjoke !!!

SMC SE Analog board and Neck board Resurrections

I don't have many Classic analog boards. But need some scrap analog boards for reverse engineering😉

Crucible for the SMC ROM SIMM

Hi, It was developed for SMC ROM SIMM. I think Bolle makes stuff for his SE/30 recreation, but this Crucible App has nothing to do with his product. But thank you for having interest!

    "Spicy O'clock" project has started

Use male and female pin headers. Bridge at 1Kohms. I think it goes down to below 15MHz.

    "Spicy O'clock" project has started

Bridge 1K OHMS instead of SL jumpers. It is possible to set below 15MHZ, so I think you can drop it to 12MHz. GOOD LUCK!!!

Crucible for the SMC ROM SIMM

All I can say is that both Turbo040 and Carrera040 are compatible with ROM-inatorII. I think Steve Chamberlin expressed it that way because he couldn't test enough at that time. SMC ROM SIMM is also compatible with Turbo040 and Carrera040. It would be nice if someone did a long test. maybe you😁...

Crucible for the SMC ROM SIMM

Thanks for interesting our SMC ROM SIMM, If you don't mind, please tell me who said ROM-inatorII doesn't work with Carrera040. or link (?) I didn't check it for a long time, but I tried booting, testing with System7.1, 7.5, and booting the ROM disk with their combination, but there was no...

Crucible for the SMC ROM SIMM

@JDW @OneGeekArmy @retr01 Thanks for all the opinions! As you may know, my store sales ROM-inator Resurrections, manufactured under license from Steve Chamberlin. Some profits are returned to BMOW. I'm not dissatisfied with ROM-inatorII, and I still have a lot of respect for it. I think...

Crucible for the SMC ROM SIMM

Right, I'm sure you understood 100% now! Crucible creates 4 files U1,U2,U3,U4 which are actually flashed into the EEPROM SST39SF040, which should be the same EEPROM that is actually placed on the PCB of the ROM SIMM. I mean, it's written on the PCB card silkscreen, so you know what it means.

Crucible for the SMC ROM SIMM

1, The Downloads folder is the "Downloads" folder already in your Mac's user directory. You can't do that, Crucible creates a total 2MB ROM image, but the first 512KB contains IIsi's Modified ROM, and the latter 1.5MB contains the ROM Boot Disk, but it is always a single boot image disk...

    SMC ROM SIMM Prototype

The second part of this post describes how to flash the ROM, but plz read that first. 512 KB of IIsi ROM is stored at the beginning of the 2MB. After that comes the concatenated BootDisk area. *This disk image is exactly 15.72MB. The sum of these two is 2MB, so not all 2MB can be used as a boot...

    SMC ROM SIMM Prototype

Calculate them as follows: 39SF010 x4 = 512KB 39SF020 x4 = 1MB 39SF040 x4 = 2MB There is no benefit to choosing 1MB, In the case of 512KB, it will be the genuine ROM capacity, so I think it's good if you don't need a boot disk or use ROM edited for 68040.

    SMC ROM SIMM Prototype

I don't think so. Again, the majority of these hardware cut Macs and Linux down, but it makes sense if these manufacture wants to build something cheap. Developing software for minorities is a gap-filling task... Since the T48 newly supports EPROM 27c160 (it works with many vintage computers)...

    SMC ROM SIMM Prototype

Actually, I bought a kit for the TL866II+, but it comes with many necessary adapters, but I rarely use them. So I do not recommend them. By the way, if you buy only the adapter you use separately, it will be considerably cheaper. Unfortunately there is no Mac application that can control the...

    SMC ROM SIMM Prototype

Unfortunately there is no corresponding EEPROM, so it is limited to 512KB or 2MB. However, 2MB is enough unless there is something special. I'll give you a link of T48, you can find it in AliExpress: T48 Programmer...
