Hey, I talked to Mark Jozaitis of MacEffects today. Here's the latest update: "Apparently there was a typhoon that interrupted shipping in China so there one was, hopefully final, delay on the keyboards." I would think we would have an update in a week or two.

Looking for suggestions from real people with experience on the subject on getting a high resolution (4k? 8k? Higher? Lower? I don't even know) high speed (whatever that means in comparison to a bambu X1 carbon FDM) high quality (i.e. low maintenance, ain't gonna break, easy for an idiot to use)...

Yeah, it'll run "enhanced" code so to speak if you swap your processor. But you won't get MouseText or the other ROM enhancements. This will not change the speed of the Apple /// CPU. An accelerator for that would be.... a challenge.

Two cards that install into the Apple ///. There's a small cable that goes between the two boards, and a cable that goes from one board and replaces the Apple /// video ROM.

You can do this, yes. Just get paint in the same color code: RAL 7044. The paint isn't cheap, though.

I recently opened and used part of my last unopened roll. Oh noes! If we can garner enough interest, we can do another group buy. It doesn't save you a whole bunch, but it's usually cheaper than buying a single roll yourself.

Direct from MacEffects: 24 keyboards of each variation will be offered. They won’t be for sale until a couple weeks after all backers receive their keyboard. China is on nation week so they are closed. Estimated 3-4 months until everything is sent and done.

Those are my starting points! I have semi-annotated code from Rob Braun as referenced by Steve Chamberlin. It's more than annotating and commenting the existing code. It's about creating a literal step-by-step English description of what happens.

Yup. Not detailed enough. I have a specific problem that DMS doesn't help to fix.

This is quite a bit newer and has lots of extra code for dealing with newer machines. Helpful, though...
