Well, half good news: one of them revived with the battery and PRAM reset. The other one still has no video or sound, just starts and the HD begins to move and sounds like working.

I have a couple of freshly recapped LC II with the same symptoms: When turning on, get no video and no chime, but the fan and hard drive goes on. You can hear the hard drive reading. Both are bare bones just with the Video RAM, no battery. I was thinking my Video adapter was bad, but it works...

Forgot about the memory check, maybe 36 is enough...

The problem I see is the keycaps: producing them would be expensive, using the ones you have would be difficult or frustrating. Maybe somebody want to try adapting cherry switches to the old style caps? I don't have Cherry switches to try, but sounds like a good idea...

Here's part of my collection, I can tell that my favorite is the Mach III, followed by the Apple Joystick. Others vary from fair to bad, but also depends of your style of playing and holding it. Lately have acquired a fondness for the Advanced Gravis one, quality-wise and comfortable.

After almost four years I'm getting a Color Classic again, thanks to @jcm-1, (if you haven't seen his tribulations, check it now: ). Anyway, I'm looking forward to get it back and start adding new stuff. My main question is: how much memory can I add? Also, will I ever use it? What other things...

Finally got my CC back, face it to a friend for repair just before the pandemic, obviously he didn’t had time to work on it. I have plans for it: better, faster, stronger!
