I’m sure I can find a reference. I remember doing this in college and at work for a “database” I created for a program - back before we had relational databases for DOS programming. You essentially allocate memory for each structure. You add a couple of pointers to your structure, one for the...
I am attempting to work through the examples in Macintosh C Programming Primer Vol. 1 Second Edition by Dave Mark and Cartwright Reed using Think C 6.0.1. I'm running into some issues with the code. While looking for answers I ran across this article in MacTech by Dave Mark. Odds and Ends -...
This is great! I’ll be using my IIci as my dev machine and maybe my PB 150c PB 520c for portability. Although I may need to swap out my SD with A/UX to do it. I’m not sure if I can run Think C v6 under OS 7.0.1, or can I?
I like the idea of some structure and being able to post questions, have discussions, toss ideas for projects around, etc. I think this is an opportunity to eat our cake and have it too.
Think C is on my "to do" list. I like the idea of perusing multiple areas so I can switch back and forth. The HyperCard thing is going to take a couple of years to do.
I once had a SCSI2CD and have switched to using exclusively BlueSCSI. The kit price is reasonable and they are dead simple to setup and configure - especially since the latest firmware supports USB.
Hello fellow programmers! As some of you know, I'm working on a HyperCard authoring and programming series on YouTube. I've also recently started working on a project for installation, administration, and development of/in A/UX. The sysadmin thing isn't in my wheelhouse and will take some time...
Looking for a recommendation for a USB mouse suitable for an iBook G3/800. I have a Pro Mouse and really don't care for it. Too short of a cord and having the entire body move to click feels awkward. Would like to have something "matching" in style. If that's a Pro Mouse then so be it.
I will be attending the Vintage Computer Festival Midwest in Elmhurst, IL. This is the first For me.
Thought I’d start a thread to discuss what it’s like, who will be there, any swap/sale items you might bring or what you are hoping to find.
I’m looking for a Macintosh IIcx compatible...
Interested in hearing if the inexpensive multi-switch adapters worked or not. I'm getting a IIci in the near future and would like to find a solution that doesn't require hard to find monitors and/or expensive video scaler equipment.
