My Weird Dual Floppy Macintosh 512K

I have to say that lower floppy bay looks very, very cleanly done.

    QuickSANE

Yes, by it's nature - SANE is what all apple apps use to 'math'. This will redirect all calls to that library and direct them to use the FPU to do the math.

    QuickSANE

@JDW this would be good to run on that SpeedCard - force the usage of the FPU!

    PocketPro 25S SCSI Enclosures

Looks reasonably doable - although, the 2.5" scsi disks would be impossible to source - would be better to adapt the design to something like the BlueSCSI instead, then you can simply do a case design - no need for external power, either - if @PotatoFi's mini mac II case for Raspberry Pi's is...

TinkerDifferent - Gamer Tags & Usernames

This weekend, I was thinking about the fact we're at 700+ members and some of us might also game, on some platform or another. To this end, i've made a simple spreadsheet here if you want to add yourself and open up your friends list. I've added my name to the pot already :)...

Will the dos card for 6100 work in IIci?

    Nope - totally incompatible.

    Lessons learned the Hard Way

For me it was learning when to stop. Both in terms of overall process, but also on an individual job. When you're tired, you make mistakes. All too often i've been soldering something together, or designing a reloaded board, and then missed out something really obvious because my brain was...

Logic Board - Macintosh SE Reloaded

That's odd as i didn't change the hole sizes for the maceffects board gerbers - must just have been a manufacturing thing with the blue ones!

Problem with Total Systems '030 accelerator in Plus

The location of U1F etc is easily found by looking at the X and Y axis of the board. Along the bottom, numbers. Along the side, letters. Draw an imaginary line to follow the location. So U2C = the IC located where the number 2 intersects with the letter C :) Silkscreen nomenclature is: U =...

    Where to find MPC7457 chips

    I've bought from this seller before - no 7457's left, but there's a few 7455's https://www.ebay.com/itm/392418710733?hash=item5b5dfa54cd:g:wDsAAOSwhA1ddpPA

    IIfx ADB power problem

Here's the schematic of the IIfx startup circuit: Well, my money would be on R3, Q1, C61, C62 or a trace somewhere. Worth checking, anyway :)

Logic Board - Macintosh SE Reloaded

I wonder if someone in the 3D Printing subsection might make one of these that's more suitable for the depth of axial electrolytics?

Problem with Total Systems '030 accelerator in Plus

The pattern on the screen is uninitialised RAM - it's displaying whatever is in the RAM at that moment. I had this issue when trying to bring up the SE Reloaded initially - check the 74LS257's at U1F, U2F and U2G. On the Total Systems Accelerator - the P1 connector pins look a little dull -...

    found this little guy...

Think yourselves lucky that you got the ZX81 and not the ZX80 - the ZX81 is at least a bit more capable - watch out for the RAM pack installation - you'll ideally need some of this to make it connect well enough to not just fall out the back...

Logic Board - Macintosh SE Reloaded

I need to post off those SIMM sockets this week, I'm doing a lot of interviews at the moment which means my ability to go out to the post office is a little hindered.
