Quick checkup of my Black Performa 5400/180 & some edge-connector f̶u̶n̶k̶y̶ ̶i̶d̶e̶a̶ spoilers

For Marchintosh I dug out this nice black Performa 5400/180 (not DE actually) from the cardboard box it was in the last 10 years or so for a quick checkup… It seems I actually never opened it, and I broke a clip from the backplate cover, and some of the melted bits holding the shield, which...

Please help, don't mess around with J16 on a iisi

Not really, even plugging it wrong shouldn't do much damage, I mean even it it shorted the HDD LED output to ground it wouldn't fry the transistor there… You could still check the transistors around (9, 10, 11) for working junctions…

Are you sure you wired in the correct order? The pins are out-of-order on the schematics, although they also are for J20, so either it's ok or it's all reversed. Does it work without it connected? Did you try just plugging the LED or just the speaker wires separately?

    MOS CPU Replacer for C64

Oh cool I was thinking it should be possible, one less thing to add to my TODO list 🙃 Although I wonder how they handle bus arbitration, IIRC regular 6502 don't have the signals to suspend them… Or do they halt the clock or something?
