Slide-in Mac motherboards can handle output at different resolutions, including the Color Classic. They rely on "sense lines" from the analog board to determine what resolution to output. It's likely that you just need to get these sorted; the VGA mod for the Color Classic explains a bit more on...
Juniper EX2300-C-12P would be a good choice if you want an enterprise-quality switch in a compact, fanless footprint -- but it's best managed via CLI, so you'd have an opportunity to learn JunOS.
If you want just a "dumb" unmanaged switch, I'd recommend keeping an eye on ServeTheHome's...
I'd recommend formatting the SD card as ExFAT, which is the preferred option as it lets you work with larger disk images (per spec, FAT32 supports files no larger than 4GB).
Also, if you haven't already, it would be a good idea to download the Apple Legacy Recovery CD image from the Macintosh...
I had my SE/30 out for filming so I was able to run the same MacBench 3 disk test. I have a BlueSCSI version 2, without WiFi, running the latest firmware. The system has 8MB of RAM and is running System 7.1 using the Apple HD SC Setup 7.3.5 driver. I've attached the export from MacBench 3 if you...
Yep, in the classic Mac OS, trying to force-quit an application was generally seen as a last-ditch effort. If you were lucky, the force quit would work and you could save your work in any other open applications before rebooting. More often, though, it wouldn't work and you had to hard-reboot...
I used a Palm IIIxe Special Edition for a couple of years in college, until I dropped it and cracked the screen. Mostly it was for taking notes in class (using one of those fold-up keyboards) and/or playing games. I picked up a Handspring Visor to replace it, though I never got any of the...
The LC 580/630 and onwards have deeper logic boards than the 520/550/575/CC, so you would indeed need to embark on major modifications to get one to fit. Having done a Takky mod 25 years ago, I can tell you that it's rather fiddly and time-consuming. The 580/630 didn't perform any better than...
One of the major county library systems in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis-St. Paul) offers it: https://www.rclreads.org/3d-printing
As does the St. Paul Public Library system: https://sppl.org/innovation-lab-equipment
Along with another Twin Cities county library system...
The hard drive interface in those machines is IDE, so you can't directly install a BlueSCSI in its place. The CD-ROM drive, however, does still use SCSI, so with some creative wiring you could add a BlueSCSI to the chain (or install it in place of the CD-ROM, if you don't want to keep it).
