I recently opened and used part of my last unopened roll. Oh noes! If we can garner enough interest, we can do another group buy. It doesn't save you a whole bunch, but it's usually cheaper than buying a single roll yourself.

It's more than annotating and commenting the existing code. It's about creating a literal step-by-step English description of what happens.
Here's another thought: if we document this well enough, perhaps we could spin a new version of the ROM that has customized beep codes for different failure points. Flash that to a Rom-In-Ator and BAM - diagnostic ROM.

Last night I started my own project for documenting, line by line, the MacII-SE/30 ROM code. This all started because I have an SE/30 that is death chiming VERY early in the boot process, and I would love to be able to know what chips/traces to check in what order during these...
Apologies on lack of updates. ADHD. I forget things.
The problems with this a-board were:
A) recap required
B) lots of loose solder joints
C) gunk in the edge connector
D) the female connector on the analog signal wire that goes from the front to the cage on the a-board needed to be cleaned.
