Battery damage on SE/30 - Thoughts?

The good thing about the SE/30 Reloaded from @Bolle is that the Pick & Place and BOM are available on GitHub for you to be able to have JLCPCB pre-populate the rear of the board with the fiddly parts, leaving you to do the rest on the top, which are considerably larger.

Battery damage on SE/30 - Thoughts?

Yikes - the RTC chip looks like it's been eaten away :( It may be a good candidate for an SE/30 Reloaded build - i have a spare RTC chip i could send you, if you wanted to go down that route, but i definitely think it's the best course of action.

Logic Board - Macintosh Classic Reloaded

Not at all! Don't worry, it will be released on github as the gerbers and the sprint layout this year - just gonna recoup some costs first :)

Logic Board - Macintosh Classic Reloaded

Unfortunately, i don't have a board view, as such, it was created with Sprint Layout and currently it's not been released as Open Source (yet - it is planned this year, though).

Recommendatons for a new reflow station / hot air gun?

Never had a bad experience with my Yihua 959D - but the Atten would be my choice now, if i had to start from scratch.

How to: Build an External Power Supply for Atari 520ST (Using Parts from Amazon US)

Gotta say, i really love the RT-65B - i made a bench supply for testing SE & SE30 logic boards, using one of those. Still keep meaning to get another one to shove into the original Amiga power brick.

    1987 Macintosh Plus (Platinum)

The previous flyback was totally destroyed, as was C3 next to it, which is why i bought the new flyback direct from Dalbani (who are the ones that sell them on eBay). I checked CR1 and CR5 and they seem to measure fine, according to @techknight - but i'm sourcing some replacements anyway. I...

Battery Damaged PC/AT Board - Component ID and general help

Depends on the board you have. There are three crystals in the machine you have, depends on the motherboard type you have as well. Y2 is responsible for CPU speed. If you have a 6MHz 286, Y2 is 12Mhz. If you have an 8MHz 286, you have a 16MHz one. Y3 is always a 32.768KHz crystal (used for the...
