    Filler for mdf mouldings

Interesting, I've never had a problem with MDF using the likes of spackle or latex paints, I'd think the MDF moldings would suck the water out of the filler, drying it faster than air? The problem with moisture and MDF is that it bloats and loses structural integrity when it soaks up too much...

Can't find NF thread reducer nut due to pipe thread search results pollution, GAH!!!!

Should be a simple search right? Do Boolean search string modifiers such as -NPT -pipe etc. no longer work on DuckDuckGo or heaven forbid the evil nightmare Google? Lamp part needed: 1/2-20 nf female to 3/8-24 nf male reducer (female lamp tube thread to male lamp tube thread reducer) I'm ready...

Macintosh IIci video sync problems with modern LCDs

Did you ever get something up and running?

Macintosh IIci video sync problems with modern LCDs

Cleaned out closet, this may be the one that worked pretty well in the Radius TPD testing. Ought to be great for any classic Mac.

Macintosh IIci video sync problems with modern LCDs

LOL! That little bit of English didn't even register as the model number until I searched the old thread, found it and put two and two together.

Macintosh IIci video sync problems with modern LCDs

Looks like they're retaining value, dunno what I spent on them, maybe less, then again, inflation. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=dell+ultrasharp+2001fp&_sacat=58058&_sop=16 A couple seem to be going for about a Benjamin, but those are the 20" 1600x1200 LCDs. They work...

Macintosh IIci video sync problems with modern LCDs

Sorry, found a reference for Dell UltraSharp in an old project thread: https://68kmla.org/bb/index.php?threads/radius-tpd-se-up-and-running-on-an-lcd-no-less.33403/ Took a pic of the info plate on one of mine, but it seems you'll need @MacEffects or maybe @JDW to translate. :D edit...

    Japanese vending machines

Heh! My friend took over the soda/beer vending machine at his frat in college in the 70s. Every other bottle was an empty, so a beer cost 2x a soda. Current vending machines over her still pocket your money on a regular basis in the break room at work . . . , , , if only they'd do the...

Calling all Duo owners! (Especially those with a 270c)

270c has the color LCD connector, previous Duos have the grayscale LCD connector. Only the 2300c has both as it's the drop in PPC upgrade path Apple promised to release for all previous Duos. It also has SCSI connections for their HDDs along with its IDE upgrade.

Macintosh IIci video sync problems with modern LCDs

You need a very flexible Multi-Scan LCD panel to use with Apple's oddball resolutions. Most LCDs will only support VGA's 60Hz standard. Apple's "flicker free" resolutions intentionally avoid that refresh rate like the plague. Sync on Green is another complication inherent in Apple's...

WarpSE: 25 MHz 68HC000-based accelerator for Mac SE

I don't think so either, form factors are finite and removing gobs of plastic that's meant to be there would seem to b counterproductive in terms of reliability.

What's that package called, looks like the DuoDock+ ROM?

Upgrading IIsi onboard RAM to 4MB

Shoot me a PM! I've got one from which I've already excised the CoPro, in determining that having two in the system wasn't the problem. Very optimistic that the vanilla NuChip from IIcx approach should work, it's supposedly the same machine as the SE/30.

Upgrading IIsi onboard RAM to 4MB

Interesting, the IIci actually has NuChip30 which likely handles 20MHz-33MHz system buses. Out of town ATM, so don't have access to my library. Dollars to doughnuts the seminal NuChip of the Macintoshes II, IIx and IIcx used were only compatible with their common 16MHz system bus. So wondering...

Upgrading IIsi onboard RAM to 4MB

At some point processes like this can turn into the quest for an entirely different computer running the OS from inside an actual Mac. Also, featuritis kills.

Upgrading IIsi onboard RAM to 4MB

That's a great idea, really growing on me, most especially if it's designed to work directly off the PDS in the bottom of a TwinSlot adapter and has a passthru/form factor to be the bottom of a stack of cards in the SE/30. ;)

Upgrading IIsi onboard RAM to 4MB

Apparently not. I started a thread over yonder asking about just that, but nobody reported any experiences. Was wondering about that given the results @Bolle reported in testing the Radius NuBus Adapter that @joethezombie found when we were working on the SE/30 PowerCache Adapter project. I'm...

Upgrading IIsi onboard RAM to 4MB

It's a crazy project from many years ago, an offshoot of the SuperIIsi-AKA-SE/30's bane project. Was curious to see what you had to say about the concept of a 128MB hack for the IIsi. A new accelerator seems like a good idea for the somewhen, but NOBODY was doing anything like that back then...
