All the data and address lines from UE10 (ASC) and UI12 (SCSI) to the CPU tested okay. Will try swapping UE10 next. Glad to know the traces are likely fine though.

Huh that's helpful info. The only IC I didn't check continuity to was the CPU since it's a pain and I figured unlikely that path was broken. I'll check that next. Thanks!

Update: Continuity from J4 > J5 > UI12 is OK Continuity from UI12 to everything else is OK to all other points (ROM, RAM, VRAM, GLUE etc) I replaced UA8 and UB8 since I had some spares and they share address lines. No change. Though all connections to the ASC (UE10) are okay, I get a garbled...

I have a similar long manual T15 which is great to have, but also use a 6" impact T15 on a 6" extension on an impact driver set to low torque. It's a nice time saver if you work on a lot of compact Macs or other models with T15s.

I've used a Fluke 110 for many years and have been quite happy with it. @davidg5678 fwiw, this model does beep when testing diodes. The 112/112 include AC/DC current tests.

That is super weird. Do all three instances behave the same way? Can you interact with all of them? It sounds like you’ve already tried different RAM and ROM. Maybe it’s a Video RAM issue?

Have you already tried cleaning the IWM chip and socket with contact cleaner? Do the drives you connected work okay on another Mac? Have you tried other disks? Which have you tried with these drives?
