    Power Macintosh 7200/7300/7500/7600 Power Button

Did you dry your PETG filament? That looks like classic wet PETG print issues to me. It does look like the file is a 3d scan and not modeled (you can see the faint raised part number on the surface), but it is a really good 3d scan that looks very clean to me. You definitely need to print with...

Ram 30-pin SIMM socket where to buy?

If it's just the plastic clips on the sides that broke, you may be able to use one of these 3d prints to hold the RAM in place: https://www.printables.com/model/57973-macintosh-ram-clips https://www.printables.com/model/1223243-macintosh-se30-simm-brace

Use DVD-RAM like external HFS SCSI HDDs on 68k Macs, possible?

Reading through, it looks like he was able to burn a DVDRAM (on another computer?) and maybe read it on a 68k Mac with the DVD driver that comes with 8.1, but it doesn't say that he actually burned the disks on a 68k machine. Sort of like how you can read a CD-R or CD-RW on most CD drives even...

Use DVD-RAM like external HFS SCSI HDDs on 68k Macs, possible?

DVDRAM support did not come to Mac until 8.6, which is after the point where 68k Macs were no longer supported (MacOS 8.1 was the last version that booted on 68k). There have been efforts to get later versions of MacOS to boot on 68k, but DVDRAM support was supplied by a driver extension and I...

Analog board - display horizontal alignment

Hot glue is probably the way to go if you want to fix them. It took a lot of pressure for mine to move so I left them, but if yours are loose (like you are worried it will change if you move the computer), then hot glue and wait a few hours before moving.

Analog board - display horizontal alignment

I've done it myself twice---once for ZZJ's grayscale board, and once when I transplanted a green CRT into my SE/30. You just really want to pay attention. Usually when I am working on these grand old machines I am not as careful as I would be with a brand new motherboard since $$$, but the high...

Analog board - display horizontal alignment

This has to be adjusted from the centering rings on the yoke board. Caution: hazardous high voltage issues here, so take care and do not multitask. More info here on page 10-11...

You might consider adding this to the Resources section for posterity.

    Color Classic CRT geometry adjustment

I had that problem with my the monochrome green CRT from a dead Apple IIc monitor that I placed into my SE/30 MacEffects case. Had to twist the yoke for the overall tilt, I had to twist the magnets to fix issues with the deflection like "that corner that is too high/low". And you have to do this...

[Help] Bolle Twinspark/MacCon won't connect to network.

For completeness, have you tried a different ethernet cable, or a known good one, or verified you aren't accidentally using a crossover cable (all things I've done in the past)...

    I Bought 8 x 16MB SIMMs from tindie.

Also without a customized/updated ROM that skips the RAM check, the time-to-splash screen can be several minutes with a gray screen and a responsive cursor. The RAM check was designed when 8MB was the standard max and the 64MB check can be a lot longer.

    I Bought 8 x 16MB SIMMs from tindie.

You may need a IIsi or 32bit clean ROM for your SE/30 for it to use those SIMMs. Also, SE/30s are very picky about banking and mixing (trying them in a different bank and/or removing other SIMMs you might have in there may help). I've used these 4 x 16MB PurpleRAM successfully in an SE/30 with...

    SE/30 Y3 Crystal Replacement Recommendation?

30pf "should" be close enough. Should. If the 30pf crystal does not work, or does not work reliably, you can try soldering a 3pf non-polarized capacitor between the pins of the 30pf crystal. This would effectively create a 33pf crystal.

Macintosh SE/30 and Blue SCSI v2 with Pico W - Internet Woes

The SE and SE/30 have a metallic spray paint on the interior of the computer housing that acts as shielding. IIRC the Classic and Classic do not in order to save costs, and I believe the FCC regulations changed over time allowing them to move most of the shielding to the chassis. There are some...

BlueSCSI and System Switcher basic question

The case cracker is harder to find these days. You WILL need a long shaft Torx T15 screwdriver to remove the screws under the handle (at least 15cm long) And I have found that a set of plastic spudgers is gentle enough to loosen the plastic around the case so you can pull the back half off...
