    If your auction looks like the first photo, the item that arrives should not look like the second photo. Based on the speed at which the seller gave me a refund, it seem that this is just part of doing business for them. In any case, avoid the seller "roylechristopher"

    I did not specifically see anyone using a PowerPC as their router. I've got a 6100, so I can test it tonight for myself.

    I've been able to get GlobalTalk working under 7.6.1, but it works just as easily under 7.5.5. What PPC do you have?

    Don't forget that the 6100 won't power on without a working PRAM battery. However, you can encourage it to power on if you turn it off, and then hit the reset button on the back of the machine.... or quickly turn if back off, then back on again.

    -5v seemingly only matters if the serial device you're using requires it... like a modem, perhaps? It's been my experience that if that's not your use case, then you can go without it.
