Soooo, this took a while…..🙈

That is, before I dared to cable up the board to the PSU……(and aswell as other priorities did prevent me to move ahead)

After recap and missing the original PSU I never got to test it before.
As that PSU had an extra connector for startup control and thus never really figured out how that connected, so I thought to skip it for now.
Today I figured out the ATX connections and did connect it to the board, and it basically works!

I am happy !

Have a great Easter 🍀

@Trash80toG4 ….sure has been a while.
Thanks for asking.

Next step is still figuring out the other small PSU connector pinout to the PSU.
I suspect the minus 5 Volts is needed for sound.

Anyhow-anyway… as soon as the weather turnes bad, and the days get shorter, the journey continues.

@Kai Robinson , dont know if it would fit a Plus chassis. But I suspect not intirely as its printed with a fairly thick wall.
It does fit with the parts he chose very well.
The eye for detail and his quality finish is superb ❤️

I just watched that Macintosh Plus video in one sitting. Amazing, truly amazing. First thought is to mod the front bezel model to Twiggy/DVD spec. The rear of the case would be modified with an opening for removable panel for customization in lieu of printing one in the bucket. Fitting a custom I/O plate or ATX cover plate and mobo to the chassis would be ideal. A setback Riser would allow for expansion card as well.

Got no money for that, on a retirement budget, though still working full time. 3D CAD and PCB Design Tools are at the top of the list when i have more time. Is that model available under license? Chopping parts out by hand would be one thing, but doing it with modifications to the print reworked model would be the best approach.

Edit: forgot to ask, how goes this project. Love your wiring diagram for the 630 PSU. I need to find same for the 6x00 harness. ISTR the 6360 PSI/harness connection being a bodge job? Has anyone seen an ATX version for the PCI drawer/harness.

@Trash80toG4 , i found buying or building a printer not that costly. A friend of mine bought a second hand for 50€ in mint condition. When you start printing bigger objects the price of the filament /consumables becomes the real expense.
Still I found 3D printing parts very handy, especially for the smaller detail .

As for my mac project here, its a bit on hold due to daily tours.
Hope to get it started again now the days get shorter.
Thanks for asking.
