This won't help folks who have "obsolete" Macs since I believe Apple only offers parts for about 7 years. There are older Intel Macs like the late 2009 27" iMac that have ongoing repair issues pertaining to the video card. Even so, this change is a rather surprisingly positive concession by Apple that ultimately will bode well for those of us who are into repair. (And who among is isn't, right?)

If they're offering repair manuals, i have some hope that things like schematics and datasheets will be included...not necessarily parts.

I am really hopeful they will open up GSX (Global Service Exchange) - the internal tool Geniuses use. Or at least create a new portal for outside use. But I am thinking that will only include items for which they are selling parts. But who knows? They may surprise us and really make this a great resource for supporting old Apple devices for years to come! 🤷🏻‍♂️
