If you're in the US I'll do the fix for you for just the cost of shipping - if not in the US and bought it from an authorized seller please DM me and we can figure something out.
I am in the US, and I really do appreciate the offer. It's both kind, and goes well beyond the call of duty!

I must say though that I am quite happy with the BlueSCSI, and can work around the wake-from-sleep problem as long as there's no risk to the device or the computer if left as it is. The computer is typically used for a couple of weeks at a time, up to 2 hours per day. I've generally allowed it just to sleep between these usage sessions, shutting it down only when it goes back into a month or two of storage. I can instead set it to not sleep, and shut it down each day if there are no problems with the unmodified BlueSCSI being used that way.

Incidentally, I am very pleased with how 'fast' the BlueSCSI is in comparison to the original (still working) hard drive. The v2 is way quicker to boot, provides smoother general performance, and seems a significant improvement over v1... meaning, I'm a rather happy customer not a disgruntled one.

Well if you ever change your mind just send a DM.

It's not about making money since we've always given away the designs for free - It's about having more happy macs/retro computers out there working for people to enjoy - so enjoy!

Going full circle, back to the original 'BlueSCSI v2 on PB170' topic, I recently bought another (current production) v2 BlueSCSI for the 170, and have used it to replace the original hard drive. I used the 7.1 image assembled by @Ron's Computer Videos from the outline drawn up by @eric and I have to say I was very impressed by how well it worked for a time.

I think in the process of tweaking the settings a bit I must have done something to the system folder it didn't like, because it began freezing randomly, but I have a set of 7.1 install floppies and used those to create a new system, which works perfectly. It has given the 170 a new lease on life, and there are no wake from sleep issues of course. I have to be brave enough to do the same to a 165c, but that can wait.

I haven't yet set up the wifi, but I'm not in a hurry for that - floppies work just fine for what I need!
