Is there a good video out there for repairing the sticky parking problem on a SCSI drive? I got multiple drives to read following @techknight video on temporary repair but have not found something that shows me how to fix the problem more permanently.

Not exactly what you're after, but here's the problem...

I just cleaned off the rubber bumper "tar" and replaced with some stripped sheathing off some old thick wire (kitchen oven).
Tip: I got the rubber bumper tar everywhere first go so clean off with disposable tools, eg. paper towel and toothpick.

For the ProDrive ELS, I cut a small piece of black polyethylene foam about 1/8 thick and used a piece of double-sided tape to secure it. So far so good. Drive is alive again.

Just to add my 2 cents, I managed to fix a few conner and quantum drives with melted rubber bumper on the magnet, just wrap a few layers of Kapton tape around them and that's it. Tried to clean the goo once but made a huge mess, so never gonna try that again...

For those quantum drives with stuck head caused by melted rubber bumper underneath the platter (Prodrive 80mb and 160mb ones iirc, single platter), I never succeeded at taking the platter off and cleaning the goo. I was very careful and wearing cleanroom gloves, only touch the edge of the platter, but still after putting the platter back the drive will not complete the power on self test, keeps making the clicking noise then turn off after a few retries.

Another potential fix I saw a while ago is to drill a hole on the case and use a screw to stop the head arm from touching melted bumper, something like this:

(not my disk, random photo found online)

Haven't tried this method yet but seems promising, maybe on the next failed disk I'll try this fix
